KANAD HOSPITAL
AN OASIS IN THE DESERT
LEGACY OF CARE
In 1960, American doctors Pat and Marian Kennedy came to the desert of Arabia to start Oasis Hospital at the invitation of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the father of the modern UAE. The incredible work that they began six decades ago continues today under the name of Kanad Hospital - renamed to honor the Kennedy family's legacy by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 2019.

CARRYING FORWARD THE BLESSING
From it's humble beginnings as a simple desert outpost, Kanad now boasts a state of the art facility with 136 beds and a modern NICU, all made possible by the love and support of Shaykh Mohamed and the Al Nahyan family. On October 1, 2020 True Sojourners had the honor of receiving the baton of ownership for this incredible institution, and it has quickly become our flagship project.
