INDIA REDEMPTION SCHOOL

SERVING THE NEEDIEST

LIFE IN INDIA'S SLUMS

An estimated 73 million Indian families live without access to decent housing, and nearly 22% of India’s population live below the poverty line, living on less than $0.50 daily. Our school partners in Mumbai serve in an area where more than two million live without reliable access to electricity, sanitation, and healthcare. Critically, one million children in the local slums have no access to quality education. Most of the schools nearby are run by the government, which regularly fails to provide a high standard.

EDUCATION CHANGING LIVES

Our school partners provide housing and top-quality education for children from some of the neediest families in the surrounding area. Students can see cycles of begging, poverty, and abuse broken when they receive care in the family atmosphere of a boarding home and excellence in teaching and learning at school. The project affects hundreds of students and their families each year.
